 Packs and Gameplay

-Please take the time to read all of this,
and the things in bold are important and are considered rules!-

Gameplay and Packs
If you've participated in other wolf rpgs, you may find this one a tad different when it comes to packs. Have you ever gotten tired of a dead-beat alpha that won the position in OOC and is never on, never takes care of business, and you can't kick 'em out? Well, in this rpg things will be done in a different manner. It will tend to follow the same little dramas that happen in real life to real wolves.

The first set of alphas will be chosen by a little audition (more info on this will come later) but after that, it's basically a free-for-all. Alphas may be challenged at any time by anyone, whether it is a pack-member or an outsider. Other ranks within a pack may also be challenged; however, for any rank lower than the alpha position, the challenger must already be a part of that pack.

The alpha pair have the right to accept or decline any member for any IC reason. Wolves may also be driven from the pack for a substantial reason, but only by a member of a rank higher than its own.

Each pack will start with one "Home" board for their packland. As the pack grows, the alpha(s) can request more land and even what type they receive, but just a hint, they will be given out sparingly. Just as in real life, wolf packs fight over boundaries, so in WOTW2 wolf packs may challenge other packs for a piece of land (a board of their choice). This can be done by another pack invading the board of their choice in the packland (category) of another pack and claiming it for their own by posting a thread there. The challenged pack has one week to respond to that claiming thread by any member or they automatically lose it. If they respond, the packs must work it out - through words or battle - and in the end, the staff will decide the winner. If the challengers win, the board will be moved into the winners' packland. *Note - Only alphas may claim land and must notify the admin prior to attempting and must receive an ok* The only land that cannot be stolen is the Home board.

Wolf packs may also attempt to steal members (especially younger wolves) from opposing packs by any means necessary. Permission from the character's creator is required, but no permission is needed from the alpha that originally dominates that character's pack.

What Makes a Leader
Not everyone is a born leader. This remains true in this game. Though more people will have a chance at playing a higher rank in a pack as power constantly shifts, not every wolf is cut out to be a leader. Keep this in mind as you create the bio for your wolf. Shy, timid wolves cannot command bold, fierce, strongheaded wolves. not for long anyway. This will affect the decision in power struggles. Keep that in mind! Now that is not saying a shy wolf will never get a chance to lead a pack. Each case varies, but this is just a little guide to go by.

If anything here is added or updated, I shall make note of it to everyone.
